Arha has been one of my favorite characters in literature for years.  When my interest in the Earthsea books rekindled especially after the production of Studio Ghibli's Tales from Earthsea, I poured over and over the old books again, and decided that doing an Arha costume would be a very appropriate tribute.  I always fancied myself quite like her in appearance, being naturally very pale, but dark of hair.  This was a fun little project that I had mostly done with an old black linen SCA dress, so I only needed to make the black hood and obtain a few keys and a dark wig to complete the look.  I'd like a nice leather belt to go with, I may add that in the future.

It was lots of fun to wear this at Starfest locally, where I could dress like a book character (not that anyone could tell who I was XD) and no one would look askance at me. XD
