Having done two other Terra costumes...

Really, I'm just starting to have a bad habit, aren't I?

This costume depends entirely on the wig, as you can see.  I wanted to be utterly as true to the artwork as possible (and I still have a ways to go, really), and imitate the sort of wild creature that Terra becomes when exposed to Magicite and her 'wild side.'

As I said, the main piece of this costume is the wig.  It began life as a silver-white Punky XL, and I went on to add four packages of extensions to it.  It took on a life of its own.  The bodysuit was painted while I stood in it in the kitchen and my friend Sam airbrushed me.  Nothing quite as bracing as the wintery freshness of airbrushing! XD

I went on to add a bit of the 'fur' tufts to the elbows, and dyed a silk scarf to wrap around my waist, for modesty's sake more than anything.  ^^;;  There's also a 'scarf' to hide the collar of the suit.  I also added gloves with fake nails on them.  In hindsight, I'd like to use a full body unitard instead of separate gloves and socks; I'd like to do so in the future, if time and money permit.  I'd also LOVE to get some of those yellow contacts, that would really just round the whole thing out.

This costume made its debut at Anime Central 2008.
