When a few friends of mine said, "Hey, let's do some awesome loud super bright 80s costumes: SHE-RA" I was all over it.  She-Ra was very possibly one of my favorite shows as a kid; I had a lot of the playsets and action figures and basically just loved the crap out of the lot of them.  Flutterina was a fun character to choose because I love wearing wings.

I made essentially a boned corset-style bodice with the skirt attached from a super bright and shiny orange taffeta.  The wings were made with iridescent tissue lamé and accented with blue pieces appliquéd on with Wonder Under, as well as the design on the bust.

The wig was a nice purple wavy style to which I added several additional wefts to create more of that super 80s body.  The armbands were fun foam covered with scrapbooking vinyl sticker sheeting!

This was a fun costume to wear at D*C and to see my other She-Ra girls.  I also got to meet actor Doug Jones while wearing it!
