About
Beverly & Charmedseed
This cosplay site has seen several incarnations since its first
appearance in 1998 as "Beverly's Closet." In late 2004,
charmedseed.net was born as the hub for my personal websites, as faeriewings.net
became my commission site exclusively. Thus, Charmedseed Cosplay
was also born.
I have been (knowingly) cosplaying since 1998, at my first
convention, the San Diego Comic Con, as Super Sailormoon. Since then
I've costumed in the realms of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts,
Ghibli/Miyazaki films, and any number of anime series and movies.

(*I say "knowingly" because sometime in... er... '93 or
something, I was Rydia for Halloween. Yup. I've been a geek ALL MY
LIFE. And then I DID IT AGAIN, because I'm
a nut like that.)
My style in cosplay and costuming tends to reflect more of the
"simple and clean" (pun intended ^.~) lines of anime and
manga (like my Sophie), although I have
been branching out into more detailed and accessorized costumes as
well (like my Rosa). I favor natural fabrics
above all and consider myself an extremely frugal cosplayer (hey,
you can buy dye-your-own silk for about $6 a yard, as opposed to
twice that). It is not unusual for me to spend more on notions and
accessories than fabric. ^^
In "real life," I'm freshly graduated as of December 15th
with my bachelors, and working hard at growing my jewelry store, Charmedseed
Jewelry, as well as admin assisting for a railroad company. ^^ I'm
living minutes from all the exciting, creative, artsy places in
Denver, and I absolutely love every bit of it. XD 2008 is my ten year anniversary in cosplay.
That's so crazy.
I'm easy to contact at beverly
*at* charmedseed.net, or via LiveJournal,
or through AIM at charmedseed.
